About Me

IMG_0998

Hello and welcome! My name is Hannah Martin and if there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I have a passion for cooking and baking. I’ve been collecting recipes ever since I left for college and am addicted to watching food shows and scowering the internet for new recipes/inspiration. At least, that what I’m doing when I’m not watching cat videos (because the second thing you need to know about me is my love for cats and all other animals).

I wanted to start a blog because I love cooking/baking for other people. I am the happiest when I am able to give/provide for others. I remember first becoming interested in cooking and baking in early high school and would always participate in potlocks and bring in baked goods to hand out to my friends or classmates. The trend continued throughout college and into my working adult life. Over the years people have asked for my recipes so I figured what better way to easily connect with my friends and share recipes with multiple people than with a food blog!

I consider myself a foody so in this blog you will find a wide variety of recipes – from diet conscious dinners, to indulgent desserts and everything else in between. I was born and raised in the south and LOVE southern food but also have a huge weak spot for Italian and Mexican (especially queso). Just like every other working adult/family I understand that time and money are precious things so I try to keep my meals inexpensive and quick and easy to make (especially those during the weeknight).

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy!

Bio

When I’m not cooking (or watching cat videos) you will likely find me crafting, as that is my other favorite hobby. Lately my favorite crafts have been recycling wine bottles and turning them into twine/burlap/lace wrapped vases and painting. My current interest is in creating rustic decor and learning calligraphy, but there is a wide variety of crafts I like to try.

I attended and graduated from the University of North Florida located in Jacksonville, where I met my husband. We got married in 2015 and recently embarked on a new adventure and moved to Decatur, Georgia.

I am also a proud pet mom of a cat named Batman and I work full time as a Project Manager for a company that is very gracious and allows me to continue working with them while being remote (yay!).

I also love beach volleyball, kayaking, camping, traveling and just hanging out with friends and family.
